As a result of hours of consultation between law enforcement and animal control officers,a venomous zebra cobra was caught with a glue trap on a north Raleigh porch on Wednesday,a 48-hour incident that generated nationwide interest.
It was taken to a safer location to be fully cleaned after it was guided into the bucket and guided out.
At youtube.com, a striped snake crawled out of the siding of a house on Sandringham Drive onto the front porch of a home earlier in the day. Lifting its head, its hood could be seen.
Before moving in to capture the snake, Animal Control officers moved camera crews to the back.
911 call from that same home sparked the search in the early morning Tuesday.

North Carolina, Raleigh Despite hours of consultation and preparation of law enforcement and animal control officers,a glue trap eventually entrapped a venomous zebra cobra on a north Raleigh porch Wednesday night,capping an event that garnered attention throughout the state.
As soon as the cobra was guided into the red bucket, it was moved to a safe location where the glue could be fully removed.
A striped snake was spotted earlier in the day crawling out of the siding of a house on Sandringham Drive, onto the front porch of a house. Looking around, its hood was visible as it lifted its head.
Camera crews were moved back after the officers confirmed it was the snake before attempting to catch it.
Early Tuesday, early Tuesday morning, a 911 call from inside the same house sparked the search.

She said the ordeal is over and she is relieved.
She said she feels much safer now and is very happy. After spending time on my deck, I feel like I can go outside now. However, I feel bad for the snake.

In the late afternoon on Tuesday, police searched 6917 Chamonix Place, near the place where the snake was last spotted.
An animal problem led to four police visits in March. The zebra cobra was found about a half mile away on Monday and Tuesday.
There are county records showing that Keith and Rebecca Gifford live at that address. According to a Facebook account linked to Keith Gifford's name, he has several photos of snakes he claims to own with his son, Christopher.
Christopher Gifford has over 460000 followers on TikTok. In one of his posts, he claims to have a 7-foot-long zebra cobra.
