The fiber can tolerate less heat compared to conventional synthetic hair, so you can style them using hot irons and curling tools. Once heated, the wig will retain its shape until it is washed.
It is best to use a mild conditioner and shampoo when washing a wig. It is important to wash wigs regularly in order to avoid damage and frizzing. To keep your fibers looking great, wash them every six to ten wearings.
For best results, use a high-quality wig detangler after washing it. Jon Renau HD Smooth Detangler is a great choice. Be mindful when applying detangler, as touching hand tied areas could cause its contents to loosen and come free from their attachment to the lace cap - also avoid brushing too hard near lace as this could cause friction which causes lifting up or tears of the fabric lace cap.

If you want to maintain your hair in the best condition possible, make sure that you brush it gently and comb it with a wide toothed comb. Over-combing can cause loose strands to become untangled, or even frizz up. This could lead to tangling and frizzing. Jon Renau HD smooth detangler is an excellent light-weight detangler to mist on damp wigs. However, do not spray conditioner directly onto the knots of the lace.

After completing a wash cycle on your wig with a towel, place it onto a wig rack to let it dry naturally. It will prevent the fibers from frizzing up during air drying. You can use this technique for styles with longer hair, such as the low ponytail and upswept styles to reduce friction.
Wig shop USA recommends washing wigs every 6 to 10 wearings. This is especially important if the wig has been worn for an extended period of time. It will look crisp and clean!
