Doodle God, which launched in 2010 by JoyBits the company, put a puzzle-based spin on the world-building genre. Doodle God expanded into a series that includes titles like Doodle Devil, Doodle Mafia, Doodle Farm and more. Doodle God Universe joined Apple Arcade on Friday to join the many titles available on Apple Arcade games.

Doodle God Universe lets you mix different elements beginning with air, earth, and fire. You can then construct new elements and objects through puzzles to create your own universe, and also help support the life that lives there.

Doodle God Universe may feel familiar to players who have played previous games, however Paul, an official JoyBits brand ambassador prefers to use his initial name to describe this game. Doodle God Universe features modern icons for elements, redrawn 3D-generated scenes, and more reactions. There are also adjustments to the games difficulty and speed.

The Doodle God series is an A+B=C style game according to Paul. Similar mechanics are utilized in games such as Triple Town, 2048, and Little Alchemy. These games combine elements from previous games to create new ones. For example, the game's official trailer illustrates how the combination of fire and bird creates an phoenix. Paul says that Doodle God's unique mini-games and content, as well as its art and puzzles set it apart from other versions and clones.

The game also gets a boost from Apple's new hardware, like 5G and the A14 Bionic chip.

Paul declared that "the power of all modern Apple devices such as iPads, iPhones, Macs, AppleTV -- and many other great technologies, including Metal -- all of this allowed for us to develop our most imaginative game design concepts and ideas for visuals," Paul added.

Getting creative and chaotic World-building games such as Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Terraria and The Sims have supplied gamers with hours of entertainment for many years. Paul says that Doodle God Universe, like every other game that builds worlds, is about exploration and finding the unexpected.

"World building games can be fascinating for an awfully long time, and lots of players want to 're-read' Doodle God over and over time like a good book," Paul said. "And in a situation where a person is almost always at home, what's more enjoyable than re-reading your favorite book, rewatching [your] favorite TV series or creating a new Doodle God Universe?"

Paul suggests that those who play Doodle God Universe should be open to exploring new ideas. This will make the game more enjoyable. Doodle God Universe rewards curiosity.

"Use your imagination, let creativity be your engine," Paul said. "There is no predetermined pattern for the game. You can make use of your brain to combine elements or make them chaotically.
