Woori Card defeats Korean Air to regain first place
Matei and Kim Ji-han make a great performance together with 36 points

Woori Card's outside heater (left striker) Kim Ji-han (24) once again played a leading role in defeating Korean Air.

Woori Card won 3-0 (25-19 25-23 26-24) against Korean Air in the men's 'Dodram 2023-2024 V-League' held at Gyeyang Gymnasium in Incheon on the 30th.

Woori Card (9 wins, 3 losses, 25 points), which escaped two consecutive losses, pushed Korean Air (8 wins, 4 losses, 25 points) to second place and rose to first place.

Ji-Han Kim played a key role in the victory by scoring 18 points, including 4 blocking goals.

Matei, who had shown poor performance recently, contributed to the victory by scoring 18 points, and setter Taejun Han led the victory with stable ball distribution and sharp serves.

Ji-han Kim said, “It's good to regain first place, but I think it's even better to end the losing streak and turn the team around. “If we continue in this atmosphere, I think we will see good results,” he said.

Regarding finishing the second round in first place, “I had no idea our team would do this well. While playing the first round, I felt confident that I could do it. I thought, ‘If I do this, maybe I can reach the top.’ With the arrival of Issei, the center lineup was strengthened along with Park Jin-woo, and the receiving of the left players improved. Taejun Han is also doing well. “I think all aspects have improved compared to last season,” he analyzed.
