Coursework is usually assigned to students for learning and knowledge assessment. Coursework covers various activities, including experiments, research, reports, dissertations and essays. Usually, students are given enough time to complete coursework compared to an examination. The grades obtained through coursework are combined with the scores/grades obtained in examinations to decide an overall course score for a student.
